What is the process?

Finding your perfect fit:

Making the decision to capture your memories and milestones is only the beginning of the story… now you have to find the right person to capture them. Choosing your photographer is about much more than just technical skill. It’s about finding someone who matches your style and – more importantly – someone who can make you feel comfortable in front of the camera so that the images will capture the real you. This is the most important thing to me in my work, and as I know you have many choices when it comes to photographers, I want to say thank you for taking an interest in my work, my passion. It would be an absolute honour to shoot for you.

Lets talk:

If you like what you see in the gallery, send me an email through the contact page and let me know what you want from your session. I have added a few questions for you to answer that will help us both in achieving your dream shoot. From there, I will send you my price list which includes the duration of the shoot, the cost, amount of images and how your photos will be delivered.

Time to book:

Once you’ve chosen your package it’s time to discuss locations, times and dates. I have a list of tried and tested locations which I often use, as I know they will always provide the perfect backdrop.  I often recommend taking photos either early morning, or the evening around dusk (otherwise known as “magic hour”). This is when we will get the best lighting for your shoot. Once we both agree on a date, time and location I will send the booking confirmation.

It’s confirmed:

Next, you’ll receive an email from me with all of your booking details, your invoice and a link to my terms and conditions. Your due date for the invoice will be the date of the shoot, so please ensure payment is completed and the terms and conditions are signed prior to the session. I will keep an eye on the weather a week beforehand to ensure we can put a Plan B into place should it not come to the party on the big day.

The countdown is on:

Yay! It’s time to get excited for your photo shoot! Before the day, start thinking about your outfits. I recommend keeping the colours plain and neutral (with minimal patterns) so as to not be distracting, and to also wear more classic (less trend-driven) items as you want the photos to be timeless. Pinterest is a great place to look for inspiration.

It’s shoot day:

I aim to get to my locations at least ten minutes early and will message you the day before and the morning of to keep you in the loop. I will have already sent you a meeting spot and you are welcome to contact me via email should there be any issues. Then, it’s time to have some fun!I will guide you through the session, but my aim is always to make it as natural as possible, allowing you and your little ones to take the spotlight, and leaving me to capture all those authentic, raw moments.

Now what?

Within a day you will receive a small handful of sneak peek photos to look at before you get your final gallery. I will keep you updated on the delivery of your full album. If you have chosen to add on a USB, I will let you know when I have posted it along with an image of the tracking number.

I want them printed!

I currently do not offer printing services, however I do have a list of places that I can recommend you to go. See below:
