About Chantelle

Why do I do what I do? It’s simple: for the joy. 

I’ve always been a giving person, but what makes my soul happiest is seeing the joy that I bring to families through my photos.  That is what I cherish the most, and why I continue to do this.  

My passion for photography began in my teens when I was gifted my very first DSLR camera. From that moment on I knew that being behind the lens was something that I would do – and love ­– forever.  That said, I always thought of it as just a hobby, and after school, I started working with children both in childcare and primary school. After working for 7 years  and doing photography on the side I had an epiphany: it was possible to do both. I could actually combine both of my passions into one big career dream. And this is how Chantelle Elise Photography business was born. 

The style

My style of photography is very similar to my personality: natural, minimalistic and full of fun. And I bring this energy to all of my sessions. Whether it’s in the studio or outdoors, my focus is always 100 percent on you and your children. I don’t use many props, preferring instead to use an array of neutral wraps in the studio and the simple beauty of the outdoors  – allowing your family to be the focal point, and the stars.

It’s the small moments I love to capture. The in-between moments of tenderness, a look, a laugh, the moments where you don’t realise the camera is on you. These are the photos that end up in frames, treasured forever. And these are what I want to create for you. Think of our session as an escape, a time to be present in the moment. We know these moments are always gone too fast, so I want our sessions to be just a beautiful snapshot of time, where you can revel in the amazing humans you have made, and celebrate the incredible person you are. And I will be there capturing it all.
