Most days feel like a blur. Mum life, business life, laundry somewhere in between. But even in the mess of it all, it always comes back to them. My girls.
They’re the reason I started this whole thing. Not just to take photos, but to build something that fits around our life. Something that lets me be present, not just busy.
I didn’t want to miss the little moments. The way they say “mummy” when they need a snack, or a cuddle, or just want to sit in my lap while I edit. I wanted a life where I could work around those moments, not through them.
Becoming a mum shifted everything for me. Especially how I photograph families. I see things differently now. I’m not chasing perfect poses or forced smiles. I’m chasing connection. Real love. That in-between moment where a child reaches up for their parent’s face or bursts into giggles for no reason. Those are the shots that matter. My girls taught me that.
Every time I photograph a family, I carry my own with me. I know how fast it goes. I know how important it is to have something to hold on to. A photo that freezes the feeling, not just the look.
I hope my girls grow up remembering a mum who worked hard but never let work come first. Who created from the heart. Who showed them what it looks like to do something you love, even when it’s hard. Even when the house is a mess and dinner’s late and the to-do list never ends.
This business is for them. Every photo, every edit, every moment I choose to be here, it’s always been for them.
