maternity and milestone photos

Hello 2026

I realised I haven’t sat down and written a personal blog post in a while, and this felt like the right time to do it.

2026 is shaping up to be a really special year for me, both personally and in my business. For the first time, both of my girls will be in kinder. One in three year old kinder and one in four year old kinder. It feels like such a big milestone and one that will bring a new rhythm to our days.

With that change, I’m being more intentional about how I work and where I put my energy. Over the years, my studio has become such a calm, familiar space for me and for the families who visit. Because of that, I’ll be focusing more on studio newborn and maternity sessions moving forward.

Outdoor sessions aren’t going away completely, but they will be very limited each month. Between family commitments and how unpredictable weather can be, rescheduling outdoor shoots has become harder to juggle. Limiting these sessions allows me to give my full attention to the families I photograph, without the stress of constant weather changes and postponements.

There are also some really special personal moments ahead. In May, we’ll be taking a family holiday to Bali for ten days, something we are all so excited about. It will be a chance to slow down, spend quality time together, and reset. Not long after, we’ll also begin primary school tours for next year, which still feels a little surreal to say out loud.

From a business point of view, I’d love to see more studio maternity and milestone sessions. I’m also exploring the idea of creating a package that follows families through multiple stages, pregnancy, newborn and first birthday. Being able to document that full journey feels really meaningful to me and something I’d love to offer more of.

More than anything, 2026 is about balance. Focusing on my health, comparing less, staying in my own lane, and coming back to my why. Remembering why I started this business in the first place. To create a flexible life for my family and to capture these fleeting, emotional moments for other families in a calm and thoughtful way.

I’m heading into the new year feeling grounded, grateful, and quietly excited for what’s ahead. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me, trust me, and grow alongside me. I truly wouldn’t be here without you.
